Ever Banega, one of Marcucci's starting 11 last night, spoke about the Maribor clash and Sevilla's qualification to the last-16 of the Champions League: "Right from the start we were looking to complete our objective, and that's what we've done. We have played 2 very different halves tonight, in the first half we were slower and we conceded the goal, but in the second we were more direct, we came back fighting and it's a shame that we couldn't secure a win".
The Argentinian was happy to progress to the next round in the biggest European competition: "It's incredible to be amongst Europe's best, now we await the draw and prepare ourselves as best as we can. I'm not bothered about who we draw, whoever the opponent, they will be one of the best teams around".
Finally, Banega spoke about the team's current situation: "Right now we are growing as a team, we have adapted our play, chasing the ball and it is crucial to know what we're playing for".
