ARIAS: “THE UNITED TIE MEANS WE SHOULD BE RESPECTED IN EUROPE”

The Sevilla FC Director of Football gave his verdict on the Champions League quarter-final draw: "It will be a competitive tie, we'll play with full intensity and we'll play like it means life itself"

Admitting that "even though we're up against a team 20 points ahead in the Bundesliga a legend of European football", Óscar Arias was glad to have "avoided a Spanish team" but conceded "facing any of the teams in this pot could have presented all kinds of difficulties. In the end it was Bayern and it's the first time we've faced them. We'll go in very excited". 

"If we can manage a good result in the first-leg we can go there with hope"

In a tie that will be opened in the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán on the 3rd of April then finished off on the 11th in the Allianz Arena: "It's not too bad for us like that. If we can get a good result in the first-leg we can go there with hope. We're capable of scoring and we will have chances". 

"We're aware of the difficulty of this competition. They respect us, having seen the Manchester United tie they'll be aware we're a difficult side. Although, as a big team they'll think they have their chances like us".
