The Administrative Council of Sevilla FC - which met on the evening of Monday the 11th of September in the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán Stadium and received expert legal advice surrounding the case of Vitolo - has decided to file a lawsuit against those implicated in the case, owing to the defense of its own legal rights.

As is known, now former Sevilla FC player Víctor Machín, or Vitolo, contravened the disciplinary instructions of Sevilla FC in his return to UD Las Palmas this July - as a conditional step in his transfer to Atlético Madrid next January - by unilaterally invoking a transfer release clause only hours after agreeing a new contract with Sevilla FC.

The governing body of Sevilla FC, following the findings of an investigation carried out by legal experts, deems that there is sufficient legal case to demand the fulfillment of the new release clause agreed with the player. It will file a lawsuit against those implicated in the case in defense of these interests and its image.
