Simon Kjaer has been a mainstay in the Danish national team and the manager Age Hareide has called upon him once again for the international break next week. Kjaer has been called up for Denmark's two matches, where they will face The Republic of Ireland at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on Saturday 13th October for matchday three of the UEFA Nations League. The Danes currently top their group in League B after their victory over Wales in Arhus.

Also, three days later they will play another friendly, this time against Austria on Tuesday 16th October at 20:45, the same time as the game in Dublin. This match will be at the Herning Stadium in the city of Herning.
