Cristian Toro gave his take on the away victory against Real Sociedad, starting with a general summary of how things unfolded at Zubieta on Saturday: "For me this is one of the most difficult places to come. Until today, they'd won three and drawn one here against strong opposition. I thought we put in a great performance in many aspects, with and without the ball. The first goal opened things up and errors crept into the game but we managed our emotions well, which is something we can still improve on. We put them under pressure but they didn't give up and got the equaliser, however neither did we and that's what ultimately got us the win. It's a very important win, primarily because we were clearly the better side for the first 60 minutes before the game became more frantic."
The Argentine also addressed a roller-coaster second half in which both teams had their moments: "When we went ahead, the game went up a notch and the urgency increased as they fought to level the scores. This created more errors and the contest became back and forth. We did a lot of things well and we will take this result and look to build on it." To round off, Toro touched on the upcoming derby next weekend: "Now we will focus on the derby and we will prepare during the week to be in the best possible shape for the game. It's an emotional, tough and demanding fixture and we'll have to manage all those elements in order to perform at our top level in a match that means so much to all of us."
