Bryan Gil has addressed the media as part of his presentation as a Sevilla player. The young footballer from Barbate, who is already familiar with his surroundings, was officially presented as a Sevilla FC player on Tuesday alongside new signing Pape Gueye. Gil started off by saying that "I was very excited and couldn't wait to come here. I am coming to help out, enjoy my football and take the opportunity to become a better player". With this in mind and in the wait of deciding his future over the last few days, Gil highlighted that "it's difficult in these types of situations. Both my family, myself and those close to me wanted to come here and we are happy. When Sevilla was offered as an option, we all knew that in my mind there was no other outcome".

Gil was also asked about the manager's faith in him. Gil explained that Sampaoli, some days prior, had been in contact with the player showing his interest: "I am happy and looking forward to coming back to the club that saw me grow up. I will have to earn Samapoli's trust, though, in order to play as many minutes as possible". Additionally, upon making his return to Sevilla official last night, Gil talked about how different experiences away from Seville have made him more mature: "Every experience counts. I went out on loan to Eibar, which, individually, was my best year despite the relegation. Then I went to London and it was difficult to adjust but everything counts as all this experience makes you a better player and a better person".

"I have to make use of these six months and enjoy my football"

What's more, Gil once again thanked the club for its efforts to ease his return: "It's where I want to be, I have to concentrate on the present, I have to make use of these six months and enjoy my football... Sevilla made a huge effort, I insisted that the best thing to do was to come here and for that, I want to again thank the club for trusting in me". Regarding the season's objectives, Gil assured that he prefers to take one game at a time rather than think about the ever-illustrious Europa League: "The UEFA Europa League is something very special to the Sevilla fans but we are in a complicated situation in LaLiga. Hopefully, it works out but we are concentrating on the game against Barcelona". In closing, Gil touched on the youth set-up at Sevilla's academy: "The Sevilla academy is one of the best in Spain. I was lucky enough to grow up here and this year there have been many that have taken the step from the youth team to the first team, which is important".
