A point was enough for the reserves to win the league and earn promotion to the Primera RFEF

Sevilla Atlético have been promoted to the Primera RFEF, the third tier of Spanish football! At a sold-out Estadio Jesús Navas, 7,300 fans watched on as Manu Bueno's brilliant first-half strike secured the all-important point that was needed to win the league. Next week they travel to El Palo FC without stress knowing that the league title an automatic promotion have already been secured.

Sevilla Atlético started the game firmly on the front foot and it wasn't long until the first chances of the game were created. Zarzana, who caused constant problems down the left-hand side, and Manu Bueno both came close but saw their efforts drift just the wrong side of the post. Ramón Martínez then met Capi's pin-point corner but could only guide his header onto the top of the crossbar. UCAM Murcia then pressed forward and Jorge García almost caught Matías off-guard. His long-range effort, however, skimmed the outside of the post.

Manu Bueno opened the scoring with a wonderful strike from outside the area

The fans at the Estadio Jesús Navas then witnessed some Manu Bueno magic. In the 16th minute he turned well on the edge of the box before unleashing a stunning, curling strike into the top-right corner and sending the crowd into a frenzy. The visitors responded well to going behind and created some chances of their own. The best of which fell to Yasser, but Darío recovered well to block his effort

Towards the end of the first half, Manu Bueno was forced off with an injury and received a great ovation from the home crowd. Zarzana was then presented with a golden opportunity to double the lead. Deep into first-half injury time, he stole the ball on the halfway line and raced clear into a one-on-one situation. However, his effort was a tame one that Miguel Serna was able to save. 30 second later, Mateo Mejía rattled a shot against the crossbar; this time the visiting keeper was completely beaten but was saved by the woodwork. It is also worth mentioning that coach Jesús Galván was sent to the stands during the first half, much to the bemusement of the crowd.

After the teams came back out for the second half, it was then Jorge García's turn to hit the crossbar. From a very similar position to Mejía in the first half, he suffered the exact same result. But UCAM Murcia did not dwell on this missed chance, Fer Pina levelling the scores soon after. He reacted quickest to tap in following a goalmouth scramble. The reserves then took back control of the game, knowing that a draw was still enough to claim the league title. Capi almost found a winner in the 74th minute but was denied by a fantastic save. Hormigo's low cross from the left found Capi unmarked on the edge of the six-yard box, but he was unable to beat Serna with his first-time effort. The game finished level, and as previously mentioned, Sevilla Atlético were crowned champions of Segunda RFEF's Group 4. This is no less than they deserve for their fantastic effort throughout the year. Jesús Galván's side now travel to El Palo FC for the final game of the season before they start pre-season preparations for a year in the Primera RFEF.
