Argentina faced Colombia in the early hours of Wednesday morning in a key qualifying match for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, and Acuña was involved. The full back started the match and played the full ninety minutes, and had a chance early on to double Argentina's lead after Romero's early goal.
Leandro Paredes made it 2-0 a few minutes later, but Colombia came back in the second half. Muriel pulled one back for the hosts before Miguel Borja scored a stoppage-time equaliser at the Estadio Metropolitano Roberto Meléndez. The 2-2 draw means that Argentina are still second in the table with twelve matches remaining.
Neither Ocampos nor Papu Gómez featured, but they will have another chance to play on the night of Monday 14th June, as Scaloni's side face Chile in their first Copa América match.
