NYLAND: "WE HAD CHANCES BUT WE HAVE TO ANALYSE WHAT HAPPENED WITH THE GOAL"

Orjan Nyland, Djibril Sow and Adrià Pedrosa spoke after the defeat against Athletic Club in Nervión. Our goalkeeper began by saying: "In the first half we did not start well. We made a lot of mistakes and gave them chances. In the second half we improved and had chances, but in the end they scored from a free kick. We have to analyse it, but that goal was too easy.” The man of the match, despite the defeat, also said: "We were facing a good team, we were solid defensively and it attack we have to take our chances. We have two weeks to prepare for our next game and we have to give everything. It is an important game for the fans and you always feel it on derby day. I hope we can show the best version of ourselves." 

Djibril Sow also reflected on the game: “I don't think we played our best game, but we also had clear chances and in these games the fine margins are very important. We weren't happy with the first half and we talked at halftime to do better, but we lost again at home and now it's time to rest a bit and prepare for the derby. It's the second time I will be unavailable for the derby but I'm sure the team will do well." 

In addition, Adrià Pedrosa also said that, despite Sunday's setback, the team can regroup and regain confidence: “The goal was very easy to score and we have to improve but we have to think about our next game. In the end, the match was tight, but we had our chances and we tried to keep a clean sheet, but it wasn't possible due to a lapse in concentration at the back. I want to get a win at home in front of the fans but there are still games left and we have to put in the work for what is ahead."
