Sevilla Atlético earned another away victory. In their visit to the Estadio Fernando Torres, Jesús Galván's side took another step forward in the standings, reclaiming fifth place in Group II of the Primera RFEF. García Pascual, six minutes into the match, continued his fine form in front of goal. The Sevilla striker used a backheel from the first corner of the game to send the ball into the top corner, scoring the only goal of the match with nine games left to go this season.
Sevilla Atlético got off to a perfect start. Dominating the opening stages after the kickoff, and following an early chance from Manu Bueno, whose powerful shot just missed the home side’s goal, Álvaro García Pascual struck with a stunning backheel from a corner to put Sevilla’s reserves ahead, sending the ball into the top corner. The hosts, eager to pick up points to distance themselves from the lower end of the table, responded with a curling shot from Bilal aimed at the top left corner, but Alberto Flores produced a flying save to deny the equalizer. Sevilla Atlético answered back, once again through a red-hot García Pascual, who was looking to net a brace for the second consecutive matchday. Still in the first half, Moyano did find the net for the home side, but his goal was ruled out for offside.
The second half followed a script very similar to the first forty-five minutes. Sevilla Atlético struggled with some inaccuracies after the restart, but Alberto Flores remained sharp between the posts. Jesús Galván made changes just past the halfway point of the second half, injecting fresh energy into the attack by bringing on Isra Domínguez, who returned to action after recovering from a shoulder injury, as well as Leandro Antonetti, who had just arrived in the Spanish capital earlier that same morning after being on international duty with Puerto Rico. Once again, Sevilla Atlético's reserve team showed their defensive solidity, closing ranks to secure another clean sheet in what was their second consecutive victory under Jesús Galván.
