Although Budimir's goal gave the away side in the second half, we were by far the better side and throughout and level straight away through Lukebakio to set up a grandstand finish that nearly led to us taking all three points at the death

It was a match in which we played well against an inform Osasuna side, who despite taking the lead, were the second-best side throughout and could have lost it at the end. García Pimienta will take heart from his side's display with the one goal conceded and individual error against the run of play. In attack, Lukebakio once again got his name on the scoresheet, equalising soon after as we kept fighting until the end but had to settle for a point on the night.

It took a while for the game to get going as both teams began cautiously in the opening exchanges. The first moment of danger came on 15 minutes with a dangerous shot from distance by Bryan Zaragoza that Álvaro tipped around the post. This prompted a response and after waking up a good cross from Isaac found Sow who shot first-time narrowly wide. Isaac then followed it up with a shot that tested Sergio Herrera. Before the break, Carmona had a a low shot and Gudelj in particular had a curling shot tipped wide from the Osasuna keeper as the teams when in goalless at the break.

Budimir and Lukebakio scored the two goals of the game in three minutes

It was not easy to keep up the pace in the second half, in which Osasuna came back into the game without ever truly threatening Alvaro's goal. In fact, it was Badé who was the first to try his luck with a header from Lukebakio's cross. The Belgian, who continues to be the team's most in-form attacker, had a chance just past the hour mark with a curling shot that narrowly missed the top corner. It was the prelude to the goal disallowed to Kike Salas for offside by Isaac in a great team move which was then compounded as a header from Budimir gave the visitors the lead. Luckily the equaliser came shortly after, in fact just three minutes. A cross from the midfield by Saúl on his return from injury, found Lukebakio's diagonal run and the Belgian kept his composure to finish past Herrera.

With 20 minutes left, we pushed on and were unfortunate not to claim what would have been a deserved three points late on. García Pimienta made the last changes with Agoumé and Navas - with Suso and Juanlu also having come on, and the comeback was almost complete with the final move of the game. Agoumé played an excellent inside pass and similar to the equaliser it was Lukebakio who raced onto but this time he was denied by some good keeping from Herrera, who came off his line quickly to make the block. With no time to dwell ahead of a busy week, it's time to get back on track for Copa del Rey tie against Olot in 72 hours time as we look to book our place in the round of 32.
