Sevilla FC and FC Bayern München have reached an agreement for the signing of young midfielder Ryan Johansson (Luxembourg, 15th February 2001), who signs on a six-year deal. Johansson, who also has Irish and Swedish passports through his mother and father respectively, has played for the youth sides of three different countries, but he most recently featured for the Luxembourg U21 side, aged just 17.

After starting out in the academy at Racing FC Union Luxembourg, the central midfielder moved to the academy at French side FC Metz before joining FC Bayern München in the summer of 2017, where he played with the U17 and U19 sides. He also played a part in the last two pre-season campaigns with the first team.

This season he has played with the U19 side, featuring in 13 of the 14 league matches so far, scoring twice. He has also played in five matches in the UEFA Youth League, scoring a brace against Olympiacos in Matchday 4. Initially, Ryan will feature for Sevilla Atlético, but he will train with both the first team and the reserve side

The newest Sevillista assures us that "it is a dream come true. I think Sevilla is a perfect club for me at this point in my career and I hope to play for the first team very soon. It was a very easy decision for me to come here, where I can improve and help the team in the future. I think I can progress at first with the reserves and adapt myself to the club so I can make the first team, hopefully it's very soon".
