AGREEMENT WITH FC NANTES FOR DIEGO CARLOS

Sevilla FC have reached an agreement in principle with FC Nantes for the signing of the centre-back Diego Carlos Santos Silva.

Diego Carlos, born in Barra Bonita, in Sao Paulo, is 26 years old, 1.86 metres tall and right-footed. He began his professional career in the 2014/15 season in the Portuguese Second Division with Porto's second team. From there, he went to GD Estoril, playing 34 matches in the league and cup.

Diego Carlos signed for Nantes during the 2016/17 season. In his three seasons at the club, he has played more than one hundred games in all competitions: 97 in Ligue 1, 6 in the French Cup and 5 in the League Cup, scoring four goals. He played 40 matches this season, scoring one goal.

The player is expected to arrive in Seville on Monday to undergo his medical before signing the contract which would be for five seasons.
