Sevilla FC and Getafe CF have reached an agreement for the loan, with an option to buy, of Sevilla academy graduate José Ángel Carmona. If the option to buy is activated, Sevilla have a clause to buy the player back.
Throughout the 2022/23 campaign, José Ángel featured in ten LaLiga Santander matches with the team, as well as five in the UEFA Champions League, scoring two goals and providing one assist. Last winter, José Ángel Carmona joined Elche CF on loan, where he played nine games. In addition, under the guidance of Luis de la Fuente, current national coach, the centre-back made his debut for Spain U21 against Japan.
The player from Viso del Alcor joined the Sevilla FC academy at the age of seven, and developed here every season until he made his debut with the first team on 13th March 2022 away at Rayo Vallecano. Just four days later, he made his debut in the UEFA Europa League in the Round of 16 second leg against West Ham United.
Sevilla FC would like to thank José Ángel Carmona for his great performance as a Sevilla player since his arrival at the youth academy and wishes him the best of luck in the next stage of his career.
