CRISTIAN TORO: "WE'RE VERY DOWN, THE TWO GOALS COST US"

Cristian Toro spoke to the media after a tough defeat to take against Valencia CF. The coach began by giving his overall view on how Saturday evening's game unfolded at the Estadio Jesús Navas: "We're very down. Football can be very cruel and today it happened to us. In the first half we had great chances to take the lead and we kept creating after the break. Their first goal came from a cross and when that happens you have to try to bounce back but it knocked us and they got the second as a result. Those two moments were very damaging and conceding that late leaves a bitter taste."

Asked about how his side were feeling after the loss, Toro said the focus would be on the reaction: "The players are hurt but we have to keep our chin up, digest the result, be strong and improve things quickly. Whenever there are tough periods in a season you always aim to respond as soon as possible and today I believe we deserved more. We will dust ourselves off and go again."
