ESCUDERO: "WE OPENED SPACES THROUGH POSSESSION"

Sergio Escudero, absent in the Wanda Metropolitano, evaluated the side's win against NK Maribor: "I think no match is easy in this competition. The important thing is winning the three points with confidence and calmness. We have to keep working to improve every match because by correcting errors we'll go on to more. Today we managed the ball quickly in possession and that opened up spaces". 

The team did not rely on any result and now looks forward: "Now we have to think about La Liga because we have a very difficult game and only a few days to prepare for it". Also questioned about the Man of the Match, Ben Yedder, he said: "He's a fantastic footballer, he scores a lot of goals and he's showing it". 

To finish up, he was clear that the stumble last Saturday has been left behind: "We wanted to find a win again. They're different competitions but we always want to win and we managed to today".
