ÉVER BANEGA JOINS THE 100 CLUB

Last night the Argentine played his 100th match as a Sevillista, his sixth in his second spell in Nervión

Though the star of the night was Jesús Navas, another member of the Sevilla squad had good reason to celebrate - coincidentally, also in his second spell as a Sevilla player. That player was Éver Banega, who despite not starting, made his 100^th official appearance in a Sevilla shirt in the second half of last night's game against UD Las Palmas.

The Argentine international, who left his appearance tally after his first season (between 2014 and 2016) at 94 matches, played last night in his sixth appearance of the season. In total, Banega has accumulated 62 La Liga appearances, 20 Europa League appearances, nine Copa del Rey appearances, eight Champions league appearances and one European Supercup appearance. He's scored 12 goals and assisted nine times in more than 7,000 minutes played.
