FLORAL OFFERING AT THE STATUE OF ANTONIO PUERTA ON THE THIRTEENTH ANNIVERSARY OF HIS PASSING

Chairman José Castro, Vice Chairmen José María del Nido Carrasco and Gabriel Ramos, as well as Monchi, carried out the offering and offered the sixth UEL to the late academy graduate

Today, Friday 28th August, is the thirteenth anniversary of the passing of Antonio Puerta. Thirteen years since the academy graduate from Nervión went to the third tier of the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán, a few days after he fell on the pitch on that fateful night in Nervión during the LaLiga match against Getafe.

As usual since then, and although the team could not attend because they are on holiday, Chairman José Castro, Vice Chairmen José María del Nido Carrasco and Gabriel Ramos, as well as Monchi, left a bouquet of flowers at his statue, which the player has in his honour at the entrance to the Ciudad Deportiva José Ramón Cisneros Palacios, where he grew up to be a legend, despite his young age.

The directors also offered to the late player the sixth UEFA Europa League triumph, achieved a week ago today in Cologne against Inter.
