Another round of international fixtures for Sevilla players was completed on Monday with a further three games. Although on this occasion Denmark didn't count on one of their regulars with the midfielder Thomas Delaney not making the matchday squad against Austria in another victory for the Scandinavians in Copenhagen. This consolidates the Danes' lead in their group thanks to goals from Wind and Skov Olsen.

The Sevilla centre-back started at right back and was substituted for Pavard after the break. Modric, from the penalty spot, decided the game early on. France have been knocked out of the tournament and will have to avoid relegation to League B in the international double header in September.

From Europe then to Africa, where Youssef En-Nesyri returned to the scoresheet on the second matchday in 2023 African Cup of Nations qualification. Although Morocco where the nominal away side, they defeated Liberia in Casablanca thanks to a penalty scored by Fajr and a good goal from the Sevilla attacker, who sealed the game just before the hour mark with a low diagonal shot. Shortly after, in the 66th minute, he was substituted for Aboukhlal. Bono kept a clean sheet after playing 90 minutes, while Munir stayed on the bench. Morocco lead their group with six points and will also return to action in September.
