Munir El Haddadi was interviewed this Friday on 'Sólo el Sevilla' by Sevilla FC Radio. He started off by underlining the importance of having an entire week to recover between matches: 'It's a weird feeling after playing every three days for so long, it helps us recover. We have a large squad with good professionals and we are working to achieve our goals and win as much as possible. Sometimes it can seem harder when there's so few games left, but this is the best part of the season where we can achieve our goals for the Club, the team and our fans.'

The striker highlighted the quality of the squad and praised their ambition, something in which Munir takes pride: 'We compete for ourselves, our fans, the Club, to be as best as we possibly can. It's an honour to belong to this family. People take football very seriously here and they are supporting us even outside the stadiums, that's very important for us.'

Munir continued to speak about the ambition in the squad, acknowledging every other team will also be looking to pick up as many points as possible: 'We shouldn't look at the points. The teams lower down in the league are fighting for their lives. We have to be ambitious and win the nine games if possible. It will be difficult to catch the teams above us, but we won't stop fighting. We have nine finals coming up. In La Liga, every game is complicated. Sometimes you can only get the win in the last minutes and no team gifts you anything in this league.

The Spanish-Moroccan, who barely had any holidays after being called up by his national team, spoke about what it meant to finally be able to play for Morocco in the recent international break, an occasion he marked with a goal: 'The first time when I went and they told me I wasn't eligible I thought all hope was lost. But you can never lose hope and they were desperate for me to defend my country. I wanted to so badly but it didn't look good at first, I kept on trying and thanks to the work of the president and other people I was able to live my dream.' Munir also spoke about the role Bono and En-Nesyri have to play, helping the reputation of Sevilla in Morocco: 'They welcomed me with open arms. I knew a lot of my teammates and I had a great time. I was desperate to prove myself and it went well. I'm lucky to have Bono and En-Nesyri - they have helped me a lot and I'm so grateful for it.'

'Thanks to the president and everyone's work I could live my dream of playing for my country alongside Bono and En-Nesyri'

Munir, who said his goal against Burundi was dedicated to his family and all Moroccans, mentioned the confidence boost that playing for your country gives you: 'It's not so normal for three players of the same club to play in the same national team. Maybe with Spain or France, but for Moroccans it's more difficult. Getting called up by your country fills you with confidence, even more so when you play and score.'

Returning to Sevilla FC, Munir spoke about the family atmosphere in the dressing room and reiterated the squad must be focused until the very end of the season: 'We are facing the final stretch of the season. It motivates you and we are always fully focussed, concentrating on the next match.' Speaking about the season in general, he couldn't deny the disappointment of missing out on silverware this season: 'It's a shame given how hard we've fought. We did everything right but sometimes football doesn't give you what you want and it leaves you disappointed. But we will be even more motivated next year.'

'Getting knocked out of the two competitions was a bitter blow, but we'll be back with even more motivation next season'

Finishing up, Munir mentioned his desire to score this weekend against Celta as he did in the first half of the season, but underlined that within everything, the main objective is to make Sevilla fans happy: 'We hope to achieve our objectives. That is what the Club and our fans want, who even though they can't be at the pitch we feel their support from afar.'
