GUDELJ: “WE BELIEVE IN THE PROJECT WE ARE BUILDING”

Peque, Nyland and Gudelj spoke after the win against Real Valladolid. After scoring his first goal Peque began by saying: “ I am very happy, very happy for the goal, the win. It was a tough match. The team responded well and in general, we played a good game. The three points give us confidence for what is to come." The forward praised the team's reaction after conceding an equaliser: “Many things happen in a match, we have to be prepared for everything, compete well and play our game. I am very happy for the team's work and for the victory, we must continue”.

Peque also wanted to send a message of thanks to the fans: “First of all, thank you for how you have been today, with the team at all times. The goal was incredible. I didn't even want to celebrate in case it was disallowed, luckily it was a goal. I want to say to the fans that we are going to give our best in every match. Let's hope we get the three points again in the next game. “We have to think about the next game, we have to win, to string together victories, which is important. We will enjoy this victory, it is difficult to win."

Nyland, could not hide his hoy after picking up the three points: “It was a difficult match, they had a very good low block. It was difficult for us in the second half to create chances. We had a lot of chances and we had to take advantage of them. We won after suffering, it was an important victory in front of our fans" 

“Now we think game by game. It was important to win today. Now we have two wins in a row at home, on Sunday we have a difficult match against Athletic. This victory gives us confidence, we will work this week and I hope we will be more ready to score against Athletic. If we suffer like we did today and defend together, anything is possible,” he commented

Gudelj was the final player to speak and he began his assessment by highlighting the difficulty of the match: “They came to play here and played well. We have been focused together with the fans. Saúl's injury and the goal were two blows. The support of the fans and our confidence gave us the confidence to win and get three points.”

“We believe very much in the project we are building. It hurt us a lot against Alavés because it was a pretty bad game.
