Joan Jordán spoke to the cameras after the draw against Athletic Club on Friday night: "We played better in the second half. The first half wasn't good at all and I don't think we played convincing football at all. In the second half, we did; because when we believe in what we can do, we see a Sevilla that everyone wants to see. We got the equaliser and pressed until the final minute. We had chances to score but, at the end, we got a point".
JORDÁN: "WE WERE MORE CONVINCING IN THE SECOND HALF"
Speaking about the first half, he said: "The pressed us well, and we failed to make passes and move the ball from side to side. They defend well and have conceded only a handful of goals - it took us a lot to score. In the second half we were more convincing and we played most of the half in their half. The difference was huge between the two". In addition, he spoke about the disappointment of not winning in front of the fans: "It's a shame. We always want to win at home in front of our own fans who support us so much. We have to keep working to improve, so that in the next game, they have something to smile about. The difference today was belief, we have to believe that we are good".
He gave his own opinion on the first half of the season: "We're happy, but there's still a lot of games to be played and we can't just stop half way through. The hardest is yet to come, but also the most beautiful. We're all ready to give everything it takes and we're prepared with a large squad. We want to go as far as possible in every competition". To finish off, he spoke about Navas bringing up 500 games for Sevilla FC: "It's incredible. There aren't many words that can be used to describe Jesús. He is Sevilla and it's ridiculous what he has done here, in England and with the national team. He's a great teammate".
