For their third group-stage assignment, Arsenal will play in a kit that resembles the strip they wore for their UEFA Cup visit to Seville in the 1982/83 campaign

Arsenal FC return to Seville 15 years and 11 months after the two sides met in the fifth game of the 2006/07 group stages, a game which saw Manolo Jiménez's side seal qualification to the round of 16 with a convincing 3-1 home win. That day, the Londoners were wearing their third kit that day, featuring horizontal turquoise and claret stripes. Tonight, in a game that despite not being decisive in terms of qualification is still of vital importance, the Gunners will wear a similar kit in a tribute to their rich history.

In this game, Mikel Arteta's men will also wear their third kit, sporting a dark green shirt with turquoise sleeves, turquoise shorts and white socks. This strip, which bears a striking resemblance to the limited edition 1982/83 kit, although the latter featured a much more intense shade of green that broke the traditional yellow Arsenal away kit, reinstated the following season in 1983/84. In their green kit, Arsenal were also defeated at home in the first round of the UEFA Cup in 1982/83 by Spartak Moscow, who had Rinat Dassaev in goal. As a result, the design didn't last, until a similar iteration was released in the form of this year's third kit.

Sevilla FC will unsurprisingly wear their traditional home kit, with the goalkeeper in yellow. The away stopper will be in blue, while the officials will wear red shirts.
