Julen Lopetegui spoke to official media after the win against Getafe CF. The manager started by speaking about the injury picked up by Lucas Ocampos: "We are waiting to find out the extent of the injury, we've all got our fingers crossed for good news".

Lopetegui then focused on the win, the seventh on the spin: "Every win is important, today is no exception. The team had a good mentality and attitude, and were better than Getafe at every moment. Fortunately, the goals came, albeit a little late". The manager then stated that "we have to focus on the next match, every match is a battle in each competitions. It's time to focus on what's coming up, analyse and make sure the players are ready".
Lopetegui also apologised for being sent to the stands during the match: "The Sevilla manager made a mistake due to the indignation that he felt because of the tackle on Lucas, and I have to rise above the circumstances, mea culpa".
To finish, he again spoke about the cup: "We have to change our mindset and be focused on the first leg of the semi final. From tomorrow, we'll see how the players are, and we will prepare for the match in the best way possible, as we always do".
