Julen Lopetegui spoke to the media after the draw against Real Valladolid on Saturday night. The manager, after another intense match for his side, began by giving a brief overview of the match: "I think that a point is unfair. We deserved to win, but we made things difficult with the penalty, and then at the end, with the way we equalised, you get a feeling of happiness although we were coming here for the three points". He then spoke about the unbelievable goal from Bono: "It's unusual, but it has already happened once in Sevilla's history and it was a golazo as well".
LOPETEGUI: "I NOTED THE ATTITUDE, THE MENTALITY AND THE SPIRIT OF THE LADS"
"The team has worked through a lot, with matches every 3-4 days since 18th September, it's complicated. We have to keep working hard, every match is a real battle and we have to prepare well". Returning to the match against Real Valladolid, he spoke about three qualities his side displayed: "The attitude, the mentality and the spirit of the lads. In the second half we did so many things to try to draw and win, they didn't surrender and they got their reward".
To finish, Lopetegui spoke about the chances that could have secured another win on the road: "De Jong had two chances, we had various chances and even in the first half we were lacking a bit up front despite being the better side. Just as we dropped off a little bit in the match, they scored their penalty".
