LOPETEGUI: "GOALS ARE SCORED BY THE TEAM, IT'S ALL PART OF A TEAM EFFORT"

"The competitive reality of a team that wants to aspire to win every game is that all players are ready"

The Sevilla FC manager, Julen Lopetegui, has given his pre-match press conference after his side trained for the final time before Monday's match against SD Eibar at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán, the final match of Matchday 34 in LaLiga: "We've had some more days rest than normal, but now we're going into three matches in six days. We've tried to manage this in the best way possible, with rests, individual work etc. Training sessions between matches are basically focusing on details".

"Doing the numbers is no use, the only thing we're doing is focusing on what can help us, which is the next match and now it's called Eibar. They'll come here seeking their aim, with a very experienced manager, and they play the same both at home and away, and they will make it difficult for us. They are very well trained. We're not looking at everything else because it won't help us with tomorrow's aim", continued the Basque manager.

"We need everyone until the end, very often it's those who play 20, 15, or 5 matches who are decisive"

Lopetegui spoke about the good performances of the squad, Munir in particular: "Munir is good, he's ready, training and competing very well. We're very happy with him and the team. We need everyone until the end and I hope they're ready to bring something to the table in a decisive manner, because very often it's those who play 20, 15 or 5 matches who do it. That's the competitive reality of a team who wants to aspire to win every match".

For the manager, high temperatures and matches behind closed doors are factors which cannot affect the players: "The heat is just what it is, we can't change it and we have to adapt, but we would pick a different backdrop, of course. The fans, on the other hand, we would all want to play with them here, but we don't decide that and that's what it's time to do, play in a new and different reality".

Finally, Lopetegui spoke about the team effort to score goals: "Goals are scored by the team, sometimes it's the striker and sometimes it's others. From that point on everyone will bring things within a team effort. I have full confidence in those who play and we're convinced that the strikers will score goals again, but the key is that the team works well and scores".
