Julen Lopetegui spoke to the media this afternoon ahead of tomorrow's game against Getafe: "We played 48 hours ago and in 24 hours we have another match. We're up against a tough team, one of the most in form teams in the league. They have conceded one goal in the last six and they've found the right system for a talented squad. Since Quique came in, they've been a very complete team. We have to wait and see who we can call up tomorrow. Some players are a doubt, they haven't trained, so we'll have to wait and see."
Lopetegui thinks the fans will be key tomorrow: "They are so important during the tough moments, which we'll have tomorrow - they give us energy." He then went on to further discuss Getafe: "They have been able to train for this game all week. We had our first training session to prepare for it today - with nine players. But tomorrow we have the same objective as always - to beat a tough opponent. Quique had a tough start but now the team have a clear style - they know how to attack and defend under him and they have good players to boot."
The team has many players out, but Julen is staying positive: "I don't want to speak about this because it's not something we control. We have to find the right response against this challenge. We need to think positively and in what we can control which is our response against the task. We are trying to generate excitement and ambition in every match. Now we have a tough league match and we need to give it everything."
Finishing up, Julen was asked about Dmitrović's new-found importance in the team: "He has been working knowing that in any moment he could be our starter. That moment has come, but he has always been an option for us. Sometimes you play and other times you don't, but beyond the game there is an important job - the day-to-day work at the club."
