MARCOS ACUÑA MOVES ON A PERMANENT TRANSFER TO RIVER PLATE

An agreement has been reached with River Plate for the permanent transfer of Marcos Acuña. The left-back, who arrived in the summer of 2020 from Sporting CP, departs after playing a total of 149 games and over 10,500 minutes. 

Broken down by competition he played a total of 112 games in LALIGA, 16 in the Champions League, 11 in the UEFA Europa League, 9 in the Copa del Rey and one in the European Super Cup final. He was part of the side that lifted the Europa League title in Budapest in 2023. In total, he scored six goals and made 16 assists. While at the club he also won the Copa América twice with Argentina in 2021 and 2024, as well as the World Cup in 2022 in Qatar.
