Conscious of a second loss on the spin for Marbella FC, Sevilla Atlético arrived at the Estadio Ciudad de Lepe with their sights firmly set on taking the lead at the top of the league. In a contest that quickly became an uphill battle when Abreu's superb goal put the hosts ahead, Galván's men rallied to complete an impressive comeback late in the piece. Musa brought his team level just after the hour mark before Ibra secured a what was ultimately a deserved win with an injury-time winner.
Sevilla Atlético went behind early on in the game. With only 10 minutes played, Abreu found the top corner from distance to open the scoring in fine fashion. This left the visitors with work to do in order to extend their excellent recent form and, despite creating several presentable first-half opportunities, the away side were unable to find the equaliser. Capi had the first opportunity for his side but could only fire straight at home goalkeeper Juanma Pavón as Sevilla Atlético caused the home side problems by pressing high and forcing a host of mistakes.
Capitalising on poor positioning from Pavón, Lulo tried his luck from distance but his effort was off-target. The hosts then attempted to give themselves breathing space in the final stages of the first period but Matías did well to deny Sergio García. On the half-time whistle, both sides saw a man sent-off as Isra Domínguez and Mizzian were shown straight red cards.
Musa levelled the scores with an hour gone
The second period brought a comeback to remember for Galván's visitors. The warning signs were there early in the half as Lulo shot over after latching on to a loose ball and Capi also missed the target with Pavón coming under increased pressure in the home goal. And this pressure didn't let up as Musa was the next to see a chance go begging from the corner of the penalty area after winning the ball back on the right flank. However, he proved undeterred by this miss and wasn't to be denied minutes later, punishing a stray headed backpass to steal in and head into an empty net for the equaliser.
Ibra sealed the comeback win in added time
With the contest level at 1-1, a double chance then fell to Capi whose first effort was repelled by the home goalkeeper before the Sevilla Atlético midfielder shot wide with his second attempt. As Galván's side piled on the pressure, they were then presented with their best chance yet to take the lead, recent introduction Ibra going agonisingly close by rattling the bar. Hormigo's return to from injury was a welcome sight late in the contest, but there was still time for the day to get better for the travelling team.
And, with 91 minutes on the clock, the did. Isaac produced a moment of individual quality and sent in a low, teasing cross for Ibra at the far post. The substitute wanted it more and beat defender Gato to the ball and buried a lethal finish back across goal to win the game at the death and spark huge away celebrations on the touchline. With previous league leaders Marbella suffering a second consecutive defeat on Sunday, victory at San Roque de Lepe moves Sevilla Atlético top of the table. Galván's high-flying team welcome Marbella in a heavyweight contest at the Estadio Jesús Navas next Sunday.
