Sevilla Atlético made it three wins from three home games in the league this season, recording another clean sheet as Antonio Hidalgo's team continued their strong form at the Estadio Jesús Navas, with a convincing victory over Yeclano Deportivo seeing them reclaim top spot in group 4 of the fourth division. The reserve team restored their status as league leaders, albeit only due to superior goal-difference to Marbella, in a comfortable win secured by strikes from Musa and Zarzana.
Building on an impressive start to the campaign, Sevilla Atlético were keen to dominate from the off against Yeclano Deportivo. Still unbeaten at the Estadio Jesús Navas without having conceded a goal, Antonio Hidalgo's men showed clear attacking intent and wasted no time in getting into the opposition box. The first major chance arrived when Zarzana whipped a ball in from wide and Oso was denied by a smart stop from Sergio Díaz, attoning for his poor handling from the original cross seconds earlier.
Musa buried a header from a corner to put the hosts ahead
The visiting goalkeeper had been heavily involved for much of the first half, keeping his side on level terms with a solid near-post save after Darío met Capi's cross from the right. Sevilla Atlético read the visitors' play around their own box well, Isaac latching on to a rebound in the area that was deflected behind. It was from the resulting corner that Musa converted a dangerous delivery from Zarzana, rising hightest to head home from close range with just five minutes left in the first period.
At the start of the second half, Adrián Hernández's side came out fighting in search of an equaliser. After two tame efforts on goal from Yeclano Deportivo, there was little to separate the two teams until Zarzana gave us breathing space by finishing a well-worked move involving Isaac and Capi. With the result now beyond doubt, Santisteban nearly made it three at the end of normal time with a powerful right-footed effort that came back off the bar.
