MENDILIBAR: "IT WAS A GOOD, HARD-FOUGHT MATCH"

José Luis Mendilibar is happy with his team's performance in the last match of the LaLiga Summer Tour, a 1-1 draw with Atlético Madrid in San Francisco: "We played well. Both teams had chances, we took the lead but they managed to equalise. We had some chances at the end that we couldn't take, but I think it was a good, hard-fought match."

As for the tour as a whole, he acknowledged that "you come from Sevilla to Detroit, it's difficult to get used to the time difference, but what was good about the tour was that it was very well-organised, with good pitches, good hotels... The flight times are what they are, but for the worry you have when you get given a tour like this, in the end I think it's turned out very well and I do appreciate that. Now it's time to travel back and get used to Spanish time again."

To finish, he spoke about Djibril Sow's debut: "He's had two sessions with the squad and he's had his first thirty minutes with the team. He understands the game, he doesn't understand me because he can't speak Spanish, but he's intelligent. I think that just watching will be enough for him. He'll be a good reinforcement for the team and I hope that he can help us to have a great season."
