Mercado misses out on a trip to Argentina with his national squad as he attempts to recover ahead of the Celta Vigo match

Eduardo Berizzo will not have Gabriel Mercado at his disposal for tomorrow's match at the Camp Nou against FC Barcelona. The club's medics have confirmed that tests have revealed an injury to the player's right hamstring, ruling him out from playing in this Saturday's clash.

Mercado will not travel to Argentina with his national squad, but instead, will stay put in Sevilla as he attempts to recover in time for the next league game against Celta Vigo on the 18^th of November. What happens will depend on any progress made by the player in the coming days.
