MONTELLA: "IT HAS BEEN AN INCREDIBLE NIGHT THAT COULD HAVE BEEN EVEN BETTER"

Vincenzo Montella appeared happy with the team following Sevilla FC's draw against Manchester United tonight, although obviously a little disappointed with the result: "I am proud because the team has shown both quality and character. We had to win, and because of this, we are disappointed for the fans that have been incredible tonight. It has been a great night that could have been even better...but it's all to play for now".  

Several opportunities presented themselves, but the back of the net couldn't be found: "We had 10 shots on target and 10 corners in the first half. We were superior on the pitch, but football is like this". However, on a more positive side, any goal scoring draw in the second leg would give the side qualification: "Not conceding at this stage is crucial. Now we need to score at Old Trafford and I am confident we will". 

Bringing the press conference to an end, the Italian spoke about his team's dominance tonight: "This team and these players have to play like this because they are capable of controlling the game. It is not always possible, especially against an opponent like Manchester United, but I have faith that we can do it again".
