Sevilla FC, as a preventative measure, decided to carry out PCR tests on the squad and coaching staff this week, with the idea of anticipating any problems for the return to training, scheduled for next Monday. In those tests, one first team player tested positive for COVID-19. The player, Munir El Haddadi, is asymptomatic and is isolated in his residence in Madrid, the city where his test was carried out on Thursday.
Sevilla FC immediately informed all sporting authorities and health authorities and isolated the footballer. Tomorrow, the squad and coaching staff will be tested again ahead of the imminent return to training.
