Luis Muriel played his first 30 minutes as a Sevilla FC player and couldn't be happier after scoring his first goal for the club: "I'm delighted to have started this adventure on the right foot. It's important for me to score and I got the chance to do so. I hope it's the first of many with this shirt. I always go until the end, it is a characteristic of mine to fight for every ball and I took advantage of the defenders mistake. I got my foot in and scored."
About his adaptation with his new teammates, he was only grateful: "They received me in the best way possible and I don't have a single complaint about the group. When it comes to the preparation, I've been here for a few days and little by little I'll start getting in form for the competitions that are coming. Even it being the first game, I have a very good feeling."
After admitting he'd like to keep the number 9 that he wore today, he confirmed that it's an advantage that at Sampdoria they had a similar play style to that of Berizzo: "Both coaches are similar. In Italy they would ask me to press the back line when we didn't have the ball and I enjoyed that. For the moment I haven't sensed a lot of change."
