EURO 2020 kicks off a year late due to the pandemic, putting a five-year gap between it and the previous competition - something never seen in the tournament's history dating back to 1960. But EURO 2020 is now here and will be the biggest talking point in football over the next month. For Sevilla FC, the tournament starts tonight in Amsterdam where Luuk de Jong's Netherlands take on Ukraine.

The striker and Jules Koundé will be representing the Club in this tournament. As too will Tomáš Vaclík technically: although he already said his farewell to Seville before joining up with the Czech team, his contract comes to an end on 1 July. France's first match, perhaps the favourites, will come on Tuesday in Munich against Germany and could see Koundé in action.

In the last edition played in 2016 in France, Sevilla were represented by Rami, Sergio Rico, Krychowiak and Konoplyanka. Ciro Immobile technically belonged to the Club but had played the second half of the season on loan at Torina. In 2012, the representatives were Rakitić and saw Negredo and Jesús Navas win it. Andrés Palop also won it, despite not playing any minutes, in 2008. He was joined in that tournament by De Sanctis and Boulharouz. A memorable moment came in 1996 when the legendary Davor Suker made a famous return to Sevilla when the Croatian team had already began to train in order to play a match against Salamanca which had Sevilla's place in the league at stake.
