The Argentine has returned as if nothing had happened, scoring in a fifth consecutive game and bringing up Sevilla's 150th derby goal in LaLiga
Cuerpo Superior

Lucas Ocampos is a key piece in the jigsaw for Julen Lopetegui. All the media had stated he was ruled out for last night's derby, which would have been a huge blow for Sevilla, in such a big game. However, he started, and he played as if nothing had happened in the last three months. His performance again decided the match and it showed in the match stats, not just in Matchday 28 but also in the records for matches against the old enemy.

His goal from the penalty spot was Sevilla FC's 150th goal in top-flight derby matches. Fernando added another six minutes later, meaning the Nervionenses lead in the all-time goals scored in top-flight derby matches, by 151 to 120. After just two derby matches, Lucas Ocampos has a very respectable record of two goals and an assist.

Ocampos has scored in both his derby appearances

The Argentine is the top goalscorer for the side this season, with eleven goals and three assists in the league. Five of them goals have come in the last five games, a fine run despite the three-month stoppage. His other goals came against Espanyol, Getafe, Osasuna and Atlético.

It is the first time a Sevilla player has scored in five consecutive matches since 2011. On that occasion it was Álvaro Negredo, who scored in six straight matches, scoring in each match between Matchday 35 in 2010/11 and Matchday 2 in 2011/12. Ocampos is on a roll and he wants more. He will have another opportunity to keep breaking records against Levante in La Nucia on Monday.
