Argentina coach Jorge Sampaoli included three Sevillistas in his provisional squad, while Juan Carlos Osorio has called-in Miguel Layún for Mexico

Argentina have published their provisional squad for the Russia World Cup. Jorge Sampaoli picked a 35-man squad, including three players from Sevilla FC.

Éver Banega, Gabriel Mercado and Guido Pizarro have made his initial list - having been called-up by the former Sevilla coach on more than one occasion in the past. He will submit his definitive squad on the 21st of May, cutting his 35-man squad down to 23.

It should be remembered that with Kjaer and Layún also pre-selected for Denmark and Mexico respectively, there are now five Sevilla internationals who are publicly in the running for a place at the FIFA World Cup.
