Adriá Pedrosa, José Ángel Carmona and Juanlu spoke after the draw in the league opener against UD Las Palmas. The three players agreed on the bittersweet taste of the point we had earned after going ahead on two occasions. Pedrosa began by expressing his dissatisfaction with the result: "They were pressing well up front. It's a bittersweet point. We had the chance to win it with Sow's last chance. We know our objective very well and we have to go for the three points."

He also highlighted the bad luck with the equaliser: "With their second goal, we were unlucky that the ball hit my leg and defelcted past Nyland. We just have to work harder next week. This year we have to go get three points no matter what." Finally, Pedrosa said that "The feeling is good, today it was more difficult for us. Little by little we are going to feel better, especially with the new players. We have to know how we all play. We have to cut out the small mistakes and go for everything."

José Ángel Carmona was pleased to be back in a Sevilla shirt: "‘I'm happy to be back home, where I grew up and where I always want to be. We came here to get the three points and we leave with a bittersweet feeling. We have to keep improving but we're happy, we have to make the point at home with our people a good one." The defender was also happy for the trust of the coach: "The truth is that I feel good, the coach has given me confidence and I try to return it in every game. We've been with the coach for a month now and little by little we're getting the concepts, I'm sure it's going well. Bit by bit the matches are giving us the game speed we need. We're looking forward to the next one and playing at home," he finished by saying.

.Goalscorer Juanlu Sánchez valued the importance of scoring away from home and trying to get the first home win in the next game: "You score away from home, if we win on Friday it's a good point." Playing in an attacking midfielder role he explained he was comfortable: "It's a good position that I'm used to. It gives me the freedom to get into the box. The coach knows that we have to work to get to Friday as good as possible." "I'm really looking forward to it. It's a season that can be very exciting. My legs are going with my mind, I'm really looking forward to it," he concluded.
