On Friday president José Castro spoke in Madrid about the La Liga stimulus package, a project ratified by the majority of clubs in an assembly that took place at the La Liga headquarters in the Spanish capital. Castro maintained that "it is a good and important project for the growth of Spanish football with the immense majority in agreement. We clearly understand that this is very good for Spanish football and for that reason today is a very important day.
The vice president said "this agreement with CVC will give us exponential economic growth. After the distribution of TV income, this could be the most important landmark in Spanish football. We are very happy with the agreement which without doubt will lead to the growth of La Liga and Spanish football."
