Sevilla FC coach Julen Lopetegui spoke after his team's defeat last night against FC Salzburg which knocked the white and reds out of the Champions League. "It's a negative assessment, we wanted to win. It was all very eventful. We should have scored to make it 1-0 but in the next play, we have conceded. We haven't been able to get back into the game and we are sad."

"Football is about fine margins and even more so at this level. When you are not succeeding and the opponent is the objective becomes more complicated. We were close and each time we tried that little bit more. After the goal, it was more complicated and we began to rush our play because a draw wouldn't have been enough."

The Sevilla coach finished by saying that "now we have to continue thinking about all the competitions that we are in and we have to pick ourselves up. We're sad, but we'll bounce back."
