Sevilla FC is continuing to intensify its efforts to generate activity at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán 365 days of the year, solidifying the stadium's status as a venue for leisure, culture and entertainment events that transcend the hosting solely football matches. One of the key components to this development is the promotion of the Stadium Tour, which has seen unprecedented growth in recent years and is now launching a new element to enrich an already hugely popular product with visitors. The Sevilla FC Immersive Experience, an innovative and interactive virtual reality experience that allows the user, through wearing special glasses and movement sensors, to immerse themselves in a virtual world consisting of a variety of Sevilla-based content.
The user will have the chance to become an avatar of their favourite player, enjoy a matchday atmosphere from the centre-circle or relive some of the club's greatest achievements, among many other exciting features, such as interaction with other users, in order to enjoy total immersion. This experience is suitable for all audiences and makes Sevilla FC just the second club in Spain to release their own virtual reality product.
This latest addition to the list of experiences hosted at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán was officially presented in the presence of José Castro and José María del Nido Carrasco, president and vice-president of the club respectively, along with Loic Badé and Eva Llamas, players from the first-team squads of Sevilla FC, who were blown-away by the experience: "The Stadium Tour has become one of the city's main tourist attractions, a product of genuine quality for anyone who visits to try, especially our ever-growing international audience. Over the course of last season, we surpassed 50000 visitors, a record we now expect to beat in this current campaign as we continue our upward trajectory. We hope this new experience will consolidate our stadium's position as a hub of activity outside of matchday," explained José Castro.
The launch of "Sevilla FC Immersive Experience" represents a further display of the club's faith in a technological approach and the commitment to building on it's reputation as a market-leader in this respect. In this project, Sevilla FC is partnered by Bstadium, who have contributed to the licensing and development of the experience and who will also be responsible for its operation and marketing. Available as of this Tuesday, this virtual reality experience will cost an additional €12 on top of the existing Stadium Tour price. Further information and tickets are available here.
