Jesús Navas appeared in front of official media today to preview the UEFA Europa League Playoff clash against PSV Eindhoven. The Sevilla FC captain accompanied Jorge Sampaoli at the press conference, highlighting first the importance of the team returning to a competition in which they have had a lot of success in the past: "We are very excited to play in a competition which has given us a lot of joy. The team is realising this and concentrating on the fixture. We know what we need to do and also know that we will face a good team, and hopefully tomorrow we play very well."

He also spoke about his fitness and how crucial this match is on Thursday: "I am doing well, and can't wait for such a big game. We are ready for it and I am sure that with the fans there and the tactics which the coach has come up with, we will play very well. I love football and I want to help the team in every moment and that is how I will enjoy myself."

At the same time, he spoke about the opponent, who will have ex-Sevilla player Luuk de Jong at their disposal: "What happened in Eindhoven was unique, because after so long without a European trophy it was the best possible moment. With regard to de Jong who is now at PSV, he gives them a number of things and we have to be alert and keep him at bay."

He was also asked about the aims of the team in this competition: "We have to take it step-by-step and not get ahead of ourselves, out focus is just on the game tomorrow. Lifting the trophy in Cologne was a very special moment for me as the captain, but everything we have won is just as big of a deal."

He ended by saying that: "We can only thing about the game tomorrow. It is a very important match and we have to be intelligent, work hard and with smiles on our faces, which is what we have shown recently."
