LaLiga is back at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán and it is back with a midday kick-off, a first for this season, as Sevilla FC host CD Leganés on Sunday 1st December at 12:00, the first league game of the day. It is the fifteenth league match of the season, with Sevilla back at home after a four-week absence, which saw them pick up away wins either side of the international break at the Benito Villamarín and the José Zorrilla respectively.
Sevilla are already on 27 points and go into Sunday's match looking to win a third game in a row, and to get back to winning ways in the league at home, as their last outing in Nervión was a 1-1 draw against Atlético de Madrid. The Blanquirrojos are on a roll since the October international break, going six games unbeaten in the league and will look to make that seven at home to the South Madrid side.
CD Leganés occupy 20th place but drew against Real Sociedad and made FC Barcelona work hard for a win
Leganés come into this match bottom of the league and are in vital need of points, having won just the one match all season. Javier Aguirre is now in charge, their third manager of the season after Mauricio Pellegrino and the caretaker Luis Cembranos, and Aguirre's two matches saw them take a point away at Real Sociedad before narrowly falling to defeat against FC Barcelona in Butarque, showing real signs of improvement, to which Sevilla will definitely have to pay attention.
However, Sevilla are winless in their last three games against Leganés, but Sevilla have managed to score in 12 of their 14 league matches this season, with Leganés keeping just one clean sheet. Of course, these are merely statistics, and Julen Lopetegui warned in his pre-match press conference that Leganés are in good form.
The match will kick off at 12:00 on Sunday 1st December at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán, and will be refereed by De Burgos Bengoetxea, from the Basque Country, while Álvarez Izquierdo will be the Video Assistant Referee.
