0-0: SEVILLA FC DRAW IN PAMPLONA AFTER MISSING A PENALTY IN THE LAST MINUTE

Sergio Herrera denied Rakitić the winning goal. Our best chances before that came from En-Nesyri and Tecatito

Sevilla will have a tough trip back from Pamplona after missing out on the three points with Sergio Herrera saving Rakitić's penalty in the last minute. CA Osasuna had very few chances, barely entering our box, except for one magnificent save from Bono in the first half. Sevilla dominated more in the second half, with En-Nesyri and Tecatito having chances to open the scoring. The team sit on 47 points after the draw in a match which saw Martial's debut.

The first half was very eventless which had one minute added on to account for Montiel's injury. The right-back felt a muscle injury in his leg in the opening minutes after a sprint. It was another injury blow for Julen Lopetegui who watched on as Lucas Ocampos, who had been named in the starting XI, picked up an injury in the warm-up, with Rakitić replacing him.

With pressure starting to amount, Sevilla were made a bit uncomfortable. Bono's brilliant intervention at the thirtieth minute mark was the most notable action of the half as both teams' main focus seemed to be dominating the midfield and trying to keep hold of possession, however not really causing any danger to either teams' goal. Chimy Ávila also tried his luck only to see the ball fly over Bono's goal. Óliver Torres went close before the break after brilliant work from Tecatito on the right hand side.

Sevilla FC came out for the second with a different look about them, trying to take control and covering a lot of ground. Tecatito continued to cause trouble down that right hand side and give the Osasuna left back a hard time. The clearest opportunity would come fifteen minutes into the second half, Jordán guided a through ball to En-Nesyri who couldn't quite connect with the ball as he would've hoped and eventually saw his shot caught by Herrera. Tecatito was at it again ten minutes later as he broke into the area and went close with a shot that was sent high above the Osasuna crossbar.

It seemed like the game was bound to finish a stalemate, but when the referee was forced to have a look at a potential penalty after a foul on Koundé things changed and Sevilla were subsequently rewarded one last chance. Rakitic would be the one to step up in the 91st minute, but unfortunately, it was to be Herrera who would steal the headlines as he saved Rakitic's spot kick. Due to the way the game ended, it is the home side that comes away the happy of the two sides having picked up a valuable point, whereas Sevilla will see this as another game with two points dropped.
