Football Benchmark has published its economic report The European Elite 2022, in which it establishes the ranking of the 32 European football clubs with the highest business value. According to the report, Sevilla FC appear as the 25th highest ranked club. This means it is the fourth-best club from La Liga of the six that appear on the list, behind Real Madrid (1s), FC Barcelona (3rd) and Atlético Madrid (12th) and ahead of Valencia CF (26th) and Villarreal CF (31st). The report also shows that the Sevilla brand has experienced the 10th highest growth in the last year with a 13% increase in its value compared to 2021.
Also, with a value of 390 million, it is one of only six clubs that have managed to double its value since 2016 - the year in which Football Benchmark published its first report. In fact, it has had the fourth highest growth in those six years with 116%. Real Madrid leads the list for the fourth consecutive year, followed by Manchester United and FC Barcelona. The Premier League is the division which appears most in the report, with ten representatives - two more than last year. It is followed by six from Serie A and six from La Liga. Some way behind are the three from the Bundesliga, the two from the Portuguese League and Ligue 1 and the only representatives from the Dutch league and the Turkish league. Aston Villa, Eintracht Frankfurt and West Ham are the clubs that enter the top 32 while Schalke, Fenerbahçe and Marseilles miss out.
