Sevilla FC and Real Madrid have reached an agreement in principle for the incorporation of Sergio Reguilón to Sevilla on loan. The 22 year old left-back was grown in Real Madrid's academy, making the leap to Real Madrid Castilla in the 15/16 season after a loan move to UD Logroñés. At Logroñés Reguilón would make an appearance against Sevilla in the Copa del Rey - in a tie that ended with a 5-0 aggregate win for the Nervionenses.
SERGIO REGUILÓN JOINS ON LOAN FROM REAL MADRID
The 16/17 season would see Reguilón return on loan to Logroñés, where he played more than 1800 minutes, starting 21 games, scoring 8 goals and improving his versatility when deployed as a winger. One season later, he would make his return to Castilla, where he was a permanent fixture in Santiago Solari's side. Under Solari, he would start 30 games, providing two goals and four assists.
A glowing campaign would capture the attention of Julen Lopetegui, who would find a space for Reguilón in the First Team and award him his debut in the Champions League against CSKA Moscow. The left-back would start four games in the competition, on top of another four in the Copa del Rey and 13 appearances in LaLiga. Reguilón also won his first international appearance for Spain U-21s this March - featuring in a game against Romania.
