Sevilla FC have already started work on Japanese soil, in what could be considered the second phase of pre-season under Eduardo Berizzo. At this point, the start of the pre-season friendly calendar is right around the corner. The first encounter will take place at Osaka's Yanmar Stadium Nagai at 11:00 Monday morning -seven hours later in Japan- against Cerezo Osaka. Next up on Saturday the 22nd is the second and final fixture in Japan at the Kashima Soccer Stadium against Kashima Antlers at the same time.
Just one week later, already training back home, the team will head to the Emirates Cup tournament, where the Nervión outfit will be facing up against two sides that have qualified for European competition. On Saturday the 29th at 15:00 the team will play against German football revelations RB Leipzig, while one day later, at 17:20 they will face hosts Arsenal FC. Both encounters will take place in the magnificent Emirates Stadium.
Only seven days later, and also in England, the team will face a double bill of matches against Premier League competitors. Firstly, on Saturday the 5th of August, they will face off at 16:00 against Southampton FC at St Mary's Stadium. Just 24 hours later sees kick-off in Liverpool against Everton FC at Goodison Park. To finish things off, there will be one final game for the IX Trofeo Antonio Puerta, on the 10th of August against AS Roma in the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán. The time of the match is yet to be confirmed.
Just after the stadium sees its doors open to the fans, Sevilla FC will make their official start in the UEFA Champions League playoff on the 15th or 16th of August, with the opponent and time not officially decided until the 4th of August.
