SCALONI CALLS UP ACUÑA, OCAMPOS AND PAPU GÓMEZ FOR TWO QUALIFYING GAMES FOR QATAR 2022

Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni has announced his squad ahead of qualifying games for Qatar 2022 against Chile and Colombia. Sevilla FC players Marcos Acuña, Lucas Ocampos and Papu Gómez have made it into the squad. They will look to at least keep hold of second place, which they hold with ten points, and maybe even overtake Brazil.

These matches were to be played in March but were postponed due to COVID-19 restrictions in South America. The match against Chile will be played in the early morning of 4 June in Santiago del Estero. Shortly after, they travel to Colombia ahead of their match on 9 June, also in the early morning for those in Europe.
