22-MAN SQUAD NAMED FOR RETURN TO CUP ACTION IN ASTORGA

There are fresh faces in our matchday squad ahead of a return to Copa del Rey competition in the second round of the cup on Wednesday evening in Astorga, Castilla y León. Nevertheless, Nyland, Badé, Marcao, Soumaré, Suso, Lamela and Mariano remain unavailable for the cup tie due to injury. Furthermore, they are now joined by Nianzou and Jesús Navas (both right hamstring), Acuña (right thigh) and Fernando (right shoulder) on a growing list of absentees. 

As a result, head coach Alonso has turned to the academy for back-up. In addition to the continuation of Alberto Flores and Matías' recent inclusion, right back Darío and central midfielder Manu Bueno are also back in. Alonside the aforementioned quartet, Xavi Sintes and Oso make their first appearances in the squad, the latter a left winger lately being employed as a left back for Sevilla Atlético
